Understanding It

What Is Cervicogenic Vertigo?

Vertigo is that sense of spinning, dizziness or being off-balance, and it can throw your whole day off. It has several possible causes: some sit in the inner ear or elsewhere and need medical care, while others are linked to the neck, where stiff or poorly moving joints in the upper spine can play a part. This is sometimes called cervicogenic, or neck-related, dizziness.

Because vertigo has so many causes, the first step is always working out where yours is coming from. If it's linked to your neck, that's where chiropractic care may help. If it looks like it's coming from the inner ear or another medical cause, we'll refer you on to the right person.
